With the start of the school year less than 24 hours away, we have an important transportation update for parents and families who have not yet verified their home address by completing their annual online enrollment update:
If your student is being picked up at the same address as last year, we do have them assigned to a transportation route. Bus drivers have been reaching out to parents to provide bus numbers and pickup times. If you have not yet received that information, you can call the Transportation Department at 765-664-4237. We are experiencing a high volume of calls, but if you leave a message we will return your call as soon as possible.
If your student needs transportation from an address that is different than the address we had on file for you last school year, that busing change will take at least 24 hours to process.
>> If you completed your annual online update by last Friday (July 31), your student has been assigned a transportation route. >> If you have not yet made that change, or if you made that change Monday or Tuesday (today), it is likely that transportation will not be available for your student until at least Friday, and perhaps next Monday. If you have not yet updated your address through your annual online enrollment update, please call your school office as soon as possible to provide that updated address.
If you are enrolling a student who is NEW to Marion Community Schools and are requesting transportation, it may take at least 48 hours to process that request, so it may take up to three school days for us to provide bus transportation.
